Grateful: “feeling or showing an appreciation of kindness; thankful.” When you think of all of the good in your life, it can be overwhelming, but when you break it down to what you are grateful for daily, it can help. On the other hand, sometimes doing it daily can feel repetitive, especially if you are thankful for the same things. It is all about perspective and what is best for you.
Grateful: Ways to Show How Appreciative You Are
There are so many ways to think about and show how grateful you are. One of my favorite ways is by journaling. I have a few ways I journal to switch it up.
I like to write down 3-5 things I am thankful for that day because it’s easy and can help me see perspective. Some of the things I write down include my family, shelter, food, business, strength, and more.
I try to tell the people in my life that I love them and what I am thankful for every day because people need to hear it.
Journaling using prompts to dig deep can help open your mind to what is truly important to you.
Journal Prompts to Show Your Gratitude
One of my favorite ways to write my feelings out is using journal prompts. I posted a few of my favorite ones, including a link to find more.
- What’s your favorite place in your home?
- What are your best high school memories?
- What are you grateful for as far as living in this time period?
- What makes you feel strong?
- Name ten objects or things around you that you’re thankful for.
Why It’s Important to Show How You Feel
Sometimes we forget to be thankful due to our busy lives and when life consumes us. I do my best to dig deep and remember the people and things that helped me become who I am today. Life has been crazy, and sometimes guilt consumes me because of what I have been through. I know it shouldn’t, and because of that, I tend to thank the important people in my life, like my parents, because they have been there for me through everything.
I want to thank all of you who have been with me on this journey of blogging and podcasting. I appreciate all of the support you have given me and what you will continue to give me. I hope you have been able to learn something. Let me know how you stay grateful.
